Nota Bene.

Coming to you from the depths of B-Quad.

Let me tell you something. In college, it is not the busywork that gets you...there is no busywork. It is the reading. I have read more for school in the past few weeks than ever before in my life. And I am loving it. No joke.

But in other news...I was going to say, non-school related, but hey, I live here...

I have been doing a lot of yearbooking...seven hours today alone...and still have more to do. But I have also been in meetings about it, and it looks like the plan will go forward...yes...and my master plan may still yet be possible (this is supposed to sound sinister).

I have also been doing a lot of chilling. Not as much as I want...but yeah, it happens. I do have a lot to do this week...and tomorrow! Let's see...five more hours of yearbook, write a Philosophy essay (a short response really, but you know me...), write a two-page paper for "Third World Issues," which I am now going to call, "Issues of the Global South." Oh, and I still have lots of reading to do for that. But in this coming week, I have to prepare a talk for Bro-Sis Worship, write a seven page paper, more yearbook stuff, and keep up with everything...(I cannot wait for Thanksgiving break)

But such is the life. I have signed up for my classes next semester, and they are the following:

ENG 215 - Classical and Early British Literature
GREK 102 - Elementary Greek II
PHIL 312 - History of Philosophy
PHIL 243 - Introduction to Logic
COMM 101 - Public Speaking

I wanted to take Linguistics, but it filled up. Bummer, right? Next year then! But I have a serious question. Should I take summer school? I could take Greek 201, and then next fall, start doing some serious translation work. And then, there is the Black Hills trip to consider...I think I will be doing it, in order to get the rest of my science credits, but I think I might attempt to be the RA in the Black Hills, if I can, because then it would be next to free (no room or board, and finical aid for me!). But that would require me to be there for the entire eight weeks. Something I must seriously consider. But IF I do that, I would be earning 12 credits this summer. So, with those, plus the 18 from this semester, the 16 from next, I would returning in my second year as a second semester junior by credit. Ah! The choices! That would really help with registration for classes, too...anyways, what are your thoughts/suggestions?

Anyway, I need to do some reading. So, gals and guys, take it easy, and remember to brush your teeth.

So many wonderful opportunities, so many decisions. Ask advice from your 'rents. They are probably wise.

RAing this summer would be a great way to get experience for junior year if you wish to RA then.

Don't get so burned out over the summer that you aren't ready for fall semester.

And it's really funny that you can be a sinister yearbook person who offers advice on good dental habits.

Thanks Carol. You are probably right on most of those things...and I held back my advice on flossing.
